“Zig-zags, stripes, speckles—oh my!”

Our Striped Chevron Scarf is a wonderfully seasonless accessory—whether the weather is cloudy or cloudless, it’s a fun addition to any outfit! Two-row stripes zig-zag off of your needles in an easy-to-memorize chevron pattern paired with alternating color blocks. In solid colors, they remind us of vintage café awnings, beach umbrellas, and comfy hammocks swinging in the sun. And if you choose adventurous, variegated shades, you’ll be amazed how the zig-zags harmonize even the most disparate of shades!

For this version of our free pattern, we picked Berroco —a lovely DK-weight blend of wool and cotton with an ‘impressionistic’ color palette that contains variegated and solid shades, both! Using a spray-effect dye technique, Berroco has added dappled, gradient color to the strand—calling to mind Monet’s gardens and sunsets, or Van Gogh’s starry skies and landscapes. The nicely saturated solid shades pair up with the speckles perfectly! With the softness of your favorite t-shirt, this Striped Chevron Scarf is sure to be an all-season favorite.

Designate colors A–D; our sample used A = 94133 Coal, B = 9457 Sea, C = 94128 Moss, D = 9452 Meadow.
